The Devil's Den

One of the rare shitty horror movies that get better along the way than how it started out. Such a shame they have a Bill Cosby character drugging women and getting away with it as if it's totally fine

Not even Ken Foree and a cameo by Zatoichi can save this. It ends up being irritating in its forced, unfunny humour and half-hearted attempts at pathos. Like the character Quinn, its obnoxious and painful to sit with, the script the problem when the dialogue breaks to pieces when uttered. As a horror film it's a cheapskate, presuming women with demonic makeup and a few severed heads is enough for the genre when it needs either to chill the spine, or in this case, have actual good jokes.

This was actually a well acted movie that's campy and fun to watch. I didn't think it would be much to it, but I quite enjoyed it. The constant bickering between the characters and the twisted plot between the gunner and the comic was a nice touch. It's quite rare that you get to watch a campy movie that's actually entertaining and well-acted. It's uplifting that the low person on the totem pole brings the encouragement to the to main fighters in the film. I quite enjoyed this silly movie.
