The Echo

Good. This is asian horror remake done right. The scares are pretty decent and the ending surprisingly satisfying. Recommended.

Very strong & creepy movie until the third act where it kind of fizzles out. Still a good watch.

I am not really into "pasty asian girls with bad hair, walking backwards" type horror, and I therefore had low expectations of this film, but it was suprising well done, and as "skin creepy" as I think I have ever felt. Although the start is a little slow, and repetitive, there as some truly skin crawling moments towards the climax, and a good performance from the cast, especially Bradford, who has to act alone for a lot of the film, and comes across very naturally. Recommended

Although thanks to the beefy Jesse Bradford I could see the whole thing, I lost interest in the plot while it develops. Unoriginal and banal, it gets almost boring.

Watchable

One of the assistant directors shot a few seconds of some really nice / creepy location B-roll of New York, and Jesse Bradford shows off his muscles a bunch of times--that's all I got out of this.

It is slow and the story is the same old ghost story we've seen so many times but it's watchable and the ending fits and lets the audience fill in the blanks.
