The Eleanor Roosevelt Story

Adequately made quasi-hagiography of Eleanor Roosevelt. The opening half hour about her childhood has some interesting tidbits, but also a surprising amount of dead air, which is annoying in a film that is pretty much narration over old footage and photographs. It picks up a bit after that, detailing her social consciousness and many projects, her social and political ascension and her final days. I learned a decent amount about her life and accomplishments, but there's nothing special here.
