The subject matter is important and the cause is just, but the first five minutes alone are so ridiculously pathos-laden that I nearly had to switch it off. You see a man wheeling up a tuna, and actually stabbing it to death behind the reeling. The next shot is a close up of a human hand with blood on it. It's all accompanied by music that would befit 'War Horse'. Pedestrian movie making. Ted Danson deserved better... ...not a whole lot better, but still...

Another alarmist ecological documentary before you've had time to recover from _Food, Inc._. Murray follows the set pattern of illustrating a pre-existing book, this one by British journalist Charles Clover, illustrating it mostly with talking heads supplying corroborative information, plus some snippets of unstaged footage of flopping, squirming, bleeding, unblinking fish in case the mere idea of extinction weren't perturbing enough already.
