The Entitled

Dear Aaron Woodley: hand-held cameras are almost never a good idea, and definitely not a substitute for competent directing. Run-of-the-mill kidnap/ransom plot, quite poorly written. The dialogue is TERRIBLE, as in snorts-of-derision, wise-cracking-at-the-screen terrible. Have a few drinks before watching this one.

Little unknown Canadian movie, that surprised me with the twists and turns. Shit. I thought the acting was done well all around, even from Ray Liotta.

One can't say that it's bad. Clean cut, but to violent for my taste.

So it's a run of the mill, poorly written thriller. Nothing special here, nothing memorable, you'd be hard pressed to find a movie you'd be worse off watching. Not because it's horrible either, but because it's not so bad that it'll leave an impression of any kind whatsoever.

Better than I expected. I never expect much from thrillers.

Felt kind of unfinished, but I really can't see a better way to end it.
