This has an interesting premise and a watchable cast, but it’s all handled so clumsily it becomes an eye-rolling mess (pardon the rubbish pun). My wife gave up well before the end. I see from here it’s a remake. Can’t say I feel hugely compelled to check out the original, but it has to be better than this.

There are some movies that make you feel like you're not living the life you were meant to live. In the life I was meant to live I did not watch this movie.

A terrible remake of a cool original. Jessica Alba can not act.

THE HANDS OF ORLAC meets THE SIXTH SENSE. So-so horror, marred by a poor and unnecessary voiceover that bookends the narrative, an underwhelming third act, and in general by offering too little that is not familiar, but overall not as terrible as reviews suggest.

It is fitting - as well as telling - that this movie does not come up when you search for it on criticker. It shouldn't. Jessica Alba undergoes a retina transplant, and it turns out the donor is the adopted sister of that kid from 'The Sixth Sense' and ... well. That's about it, really.

"You'd think that a horror story concerned with the unreliability of sight might at least try to generate scares via the use of visual trickery." - Nick Schager

The Eye is watchable, but nothing special. Its first half was very good, almost great, but everything went downhill from there, and in a hurry. I was promised a movie about a woman trying to figure out the world around her while dealing with visions that may or may not be real, but ended up getting one about a woman going around searching for an answer to a question I didn't want resolved. It has moments of brilliance, but on the whole is uninteresting.

Placing her new eyes causes her brain to present and perceive perceptions that were perceived by the previous perceiver. That does NOT make sense.

Jessica Alba spiller ok, men føler ikke at filmen er noe spesielt skummel.

One more Alba let-downs. Well, I knew it will be bad, but I wanted to see it with my own eyes. Har har.

A rather mundane thriller that doesn't really find its grooves. It has its moments, but overall it is very forgettable.

Don't these people ever learn, American remakes of Japanese horror films are about as scary as a ceramic puppy. Not to mention, it has a terrible premise and plot.

While I wouldn't say the movie is great, it is much better than what the majority think of it. Allow yourself to have a little imagination related to the plot and you will find the movie much more enjoyable. It is put together on screen in a fashion that flows well and tells a story of a blind woman.

There is a nasty trend in Hollywood where a good foreign (usually Japanese) horror movie is taken and reworked until it sucks. This is one such example. And since the hero-chick has the operation on both of her eyes, why is the title singular?

Typical thriller/horror film. Isn't very scary due to its PG-13 rating. Still, Jessica Alba is in it, which is a huge plus. Watchable.

An interesting idea is shown here. I haven't seen the original asian version yet, so it's impossible to compare. Judging it as a typical "alone" movie, it's ok. The development is really fascinating, momentarily really scary, and we can easily sympathise with the main heroine. A huge advantage: not much blood, no nudity and no sex, because it's not needed here. Instead, it creates an enigmatic atmosphere, mostly during the first part of the movie. Alba's acting is mostly ok, but Nivola's better.

STOP REMAKING JAPANESE HORROR MOVIES!!!!!! NOW!!! Unoriginal and unentertaining. I have to commend it for at least tying up the plot's loose ends. But that is undermined being that not many of the film's ends are worth a damn.

The script for this movie has a lot of issues. The payoff does not feel satisfying for this movie. There are a few interesting scenes but also several ones that go nowhere. Overall this movie is a misfire.

The Hollywood remake of the Eye is pale in comparison to the original. the acting were bad and the horror was none to be found.instead of terror, the movie is filled with pretentious drama and dull stories. it is meant to be forgotten.if you want to be scared,go see the original not this cheeky remake.
