The Falcon in Hollywood

A fun mystery (the solution is similar to the premise of a much better-known comedy of decades later) with crisp dialogue and amusing characters. I'm smitten with the cab driver, but maybe that's just me.

Following a couple of rather humourless entries in the series, The Falcon is back on track with a fun mystery set in a Hollywood studio. Snappy dialogue, brisk pacing, a plot that's not too convoluted. Even the production values seem a little more polished in this one.

Old fashioned entertainment, undemanding and cliched but fun.

Hardly great crime writing, but it's one of the more entertaining Falcon entries in a while. Good sidekicks, Hollywood spoofs and a decent climax scene. That's all that's needed for these B-mysteries to work.
