The Glorias

Julie Taymor is one of only two modern film directors whose work I'll cross the street to see. I don't understand why critics and audiences alike have failed to embrace her work. That said, THE GLORIAS is shares some of the problems common to ALL biopics. It just does. That said, Taymor clears the hurdles better than many with the BRILLIANT device of having the subject present every stage of her life, in every part of the story.

What probably could have been a great movie is molested and completely destroyed by ill performed time jumps and dream scenes, it made me loose interest about half way in. Such a terrible waste of story and talent.
