Ahhh, this is a frustrating experience! The message behind it is 100% spot on, and every now and then it gets close to being very well communicated. But the movie just has so many problems: It's underdeveloped, running only like an hour long; it's amateurish as hell; it's totally disorganized; the music is awful; the narrator has a very obnoxious vocal cadence; and the title of the film is completely unfitting. But hey, it's got Sam Harris, so I have to give it a few extra points.

20 points for Sam Harris. Seriously though, this was probably one of the most poorly made docs I've ever seen. What the fuck did he use to make this? Windows Movie Maker?

Preachy people are awful no matter what they do or don't believe. I'm not a "believer," so to speak, and while it's satisfying to see people called out on their bullshit, this is hardly a worthwhile addition to the already overcrowded world of smug atheism. It doesn't help that it's amateurishly made to boot.

While I agree wholeheartedly with trying to make people question mindless beliefs, this film is not made all that well. It's poorly structured, becoming a mishmash of points that do not flow in any sort of progression. The editing is sometimes cheap and tacky, and the narration is off in spots. The music is downright obnoxious, contributing nothing but distraction to the film. This is a documentary that could have been made better.

"You can argue all these "facts" until you're blue in the face but there is one truth about religion that Flemming seems to overlook: the facts don't matter."

The guy who made this is a total tool. Good points are made but you'll hate them not because of them going against your nature but because its this douche telling you it all and he's probably right. Cringeworthy, for the most part. Ugh. Someone get this guy An Athiest Handbook and a bib.

Unfortunate example of a documentary that fails to contribute anything of value to the real debates out there. It's too bad that so many great people leaped on board such a dismal film.
