We watched this as part of of a series of sermons, good for teaching the bible, but not much else!

Despite its undeserved PG-13 rating for crucifixion violence, this film is suitable for viewing by all but the youngest and most sensitive children. Its greatest asset is its evangelistic potential. If any viewer is left doubting that Jesus Christ was and is the Son of God, it is no fault of The Gospel of John. (pluggedin.com)
