Adolphe Menjou as a great opera singer and greater lover. He does have some difficulties being The Great Lover here as he struggles to court Irene Dunne. And it's in many ways a delightful little play. Menjou carries in his patented suave ways while sweet Dunne shows off her twittering voice. Ernest Torrence is a excellent butler advising Manjou on lady matters. And Herman Bing, the guy with the bastarrrrrrdian German dialect in so many 1930s comedies, shows he can do more then roll his R's!
