A government research center is blown up, and the presumed perpetrator (Michael Sarrazin) has near-total amnesia. But a hard-ass investigator (George Peppard) has a few tricks up his sleeve. It took me forever to track down this thriller, and sadly, it's not a lost classic; the direction is rather flat and the emotional potential of the premise (and final revelation) is only fitfully met. Still, it's perfectly watchable, with a few solid performances and a certain time-capsule charm.
