The Hard Hombre

Gibson is not one of the most dashing cowboy stars of this era, resembling a middle-aged apartment caretaker in a cowboy hat. The acting is really dismal and the directing is terrible. It feels slow and ponderous and it's barely over an hour in length. The only thing that really saves this is a delightfully scrappy fist fight between Gibson and the Hard Hombre during what passes as the climax.

Not exactly what one would call a great movie, but in a way this comedy western had charm with Hoot Gibson as 'Peaceful' Patton, who doesn't even carry a gun because his mother doesn't allow him. People starts thinking he's the outlaw Hard Hombre and gets afraid of him. And thats the plot. Best moment of the movie - "Keep your hands off my mother!!!"
