The Heroin Busters

Italian crime flick about an Interpol agent and an undercover cop who team up to bring down an international heroin cartel. It's a nonstop barrage of motorcycles, shootouts and footchases scored with sleazy Euro-funk by Goblin. Fabio Testi does lots of heroic leaping about as David Hemmings tries to act tough but just looks absolutely terrified the whole time. The finale includes some impressively dangerous looking stunt flying, which Testi apparently performed himself.

The first 3/4 of this is a gritty crime film and the last 1/4 is a nonstop crazy chase scene.

Some guys try to move heroin and some other guys try to stop them. What sounds easy on paper is actually quiet confusing. There are so many people running around it isn't made clear who they are, what they are doing and why. But Testi gives a cool laid back performance, there is some psychedelic shit going on and the last 20 minutes are insane action fun.

Not as good as Castellari's other crime films (e.g. The Big Racket, Street Law) but still an entertaining one with cool chases, solid turns by Fabio Testi & David Hemmings and a groovy score by Goblin. Pour yourself a glass of J&B and enjoy.
