This film acts as the third movie in the loosely connected "House" series of films simply because of marketing. The first two films were billed as horror/comedy, but this movie tried to go pure horror. Despite all the terribly boring horror movie cliches, through some sort of evil electricity, this film unintentionally became the funniest dark comedy not-in the series. Brion James is amazing as the over-the-top manically giggling, cleaver wielding, serial killer turned electrical Freddy Krueger.

No holds barred when it comes to the gore in this one. If you're looking for the most awkward half shirts in the universe look no further than Aron Eisenberg playing Lance Henriksen's son.

Has nothing to do with the House series. Still more entertaining than Wes Craven's Shocker.

I wish I had the confidence the chunky son has when he struts in wearing a crop top.

Better than it had any right being and definitely worth a watch/revisit for genre fans. Brion James as "Meat Cleaver Max" is fantastic, definitely his best performance!

While watching this I realized that I'd seen this years ago but apparently I completely for got about it. As another reviewer said this is similar to Shocker but better. Brion James is an underrated character actor and here he steals the show.

Pretty much any way you could describe this movie makes it sound better than it is. It's like "Shocker" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street", but with Lance Henriksen. Basically no one liked "Shocker", but this one was worse. If you came looking for the third installment of "House", you'll be disappointed and probably confused, but I hear that the fourth one is actually a sequel, for whatever that's worth.

This is one horrible flick that knows how to entertain. Every actor seems to be in on the joke, too, which always makes it better.

It was the best acting of the Brion James I've ever seen. The special effects were also very satisfying.Especially the face that shouts from the girl's pregnant belly and body deformation in the execution scene was amazing.

If I didn't know, I wouldn't have guessed that this was a House sequel as it seems totally unrelated. 1989 saw at least two competing serial killers coming back from the dead flicks with this and Wes Craven's Shocker. This one has its moments and Brion James goes all-in in one of his rare bigger roles while Lance Henriksen is surprisingly low-key. Not bad, but it's not surprising that this has fallen through the cracks of time.
