The Hunter

An interesting real-life story about a real-life Mandalorian sans the glamorous costume. The worst driver ever aspect was a nice touch and being a real-life story was a big plus in this one. Because sometimes real-life stories miss that "story-telling" punch in them and become less engaging, but on the other hand sometimes they have some wacky items that no writer in their right mind will ever use in a story. Papa's life leans in the second direction thus the film is full of awkwardness.

Since McQueen left early, take what you can get. Not great, but McQueen is McQueen.

Happy to see this one again. Steve McQueen's last film and he did a really nice job. Playing a real-life bounty hunter. Had more of a story than a typical action film.

Good film.

The script is far from perfect and not all of the humor in this film works. What does work is a fun performance by Steve McQueen who carries this picture. There are some exciting scenes, including an extended chase one. Overall I would recommend this film to Steve McQueen fans.

A real product of its times, in the guy movie department. Steve McQueen is an urban bounty hunter and reluctant soon-to-be father. He constantly risks life and limb for no good reason, doing monstrous damage to public property in the process, instead of caring for his pregnant wife -- obviously a great role model for young men. Ludicrous, but somehow watchable if you're just passing the time.
