Mary and Larry are are a modestly successful skating team. Shortly after their marriage, Marry gets a picture contract, while Larry is sitting at home, out of work. To prove that he can accomplish things on his own, he leaves Hollywood and convinces a former partner to put on an ice revue in Canada. The show is a huge success, but it makes it impossible for him to be with his wife, but the studio boss has a wonderful idea. (imdb)

It's Stewart. It's Crawford it cant be anything but enjoyable. Some dullllllll stretches tho.

When I saw that Jimmy Stewart was starring in a ice skating movie, I had hoped for some 'Bambi on the ice' moments, but no such luck. Quite simply a poor written mess and no amount of star-power was going to cover that up! They hired unknown show skaters while adding a completely irrelevant Hollywood plot to the script where it's stars Joan Crawford & James Stewart was barely anywhere near any ice! Much less actually skating! On top of that the ice numbers by the professionals sucked!
