The Impostors

Two out of work actors inadvertently stow away on a cruise ship and wacky hijinx ensue. This is a tightly written and fast paced farce with a huge, talented cast and plenty of laughs. Stanley Tucci and Oliver Platt have real chemistry on screen and some of their neurotic outbursts are hysterical. Fun stuff but ultimately a little too light and fluffy to be a classic.

Dull and not funny at all. Not even Platt can salvage such an awful script.

I really wanted to love this movie, but I just couldn't wrap my mind around these two (so often) serious actors doing the slapstick thing.

Despite some unfunny conventions the majority of the film is hilarious. Tucci and Platt are nearly perfect, and the rest of the cast are very much on point (what an outstanding collection of actors and actresses). I just absolutely love how over the top and campy this is in places. Frankly I'm surprised this isn't more well known. Great work all around!

Pants-peeingly funny in some places, too busy playing by the screwball comedy guidebook to actually be funny in many other places.

Nothing too special here but a screwball comedy that does frequently tickle. The characters are awfully bland though. Quite clever & well acted.

Light and enjoyable with a great cast, but conceptually it falls short of it's mark.
