The Interview (2014)
In The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show "Skylark Tonight." When they discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un. (imdb)

Parts of it are stupid and its overly raunchy/gross at times, but damn it I laughed throughout the majority of it! As far as brainless comedies go it delivered exactly what it was supposed to. At this point you either like Franco/Rogen/Goldberg style comedies or you don't.

If you know the recent products of Seth Rogan and James Franco collaborations, you know what this is. It is stoner comedy and little more. I will give it a minor positive by playing the North Korea-U.S. relationship with a very minor degree of seriousness, even if it doesn't actually mean a whole lot for the story.

Well this is a bad movie. I couldn't fucking stand Franco, what a lousy written badly acted role it got me fucking mad during the film. I wouldn't watch a movie this but there's hell of a backstory why not. If it weren't for some good laughs and political message this movie would have gotten 30. God damn it, Franco.
