Young family terrorized by awful R&B music. We would all probably have liked this nonsense more if it was filmed when written ... thirty years ago. Disgusting R rated Verhoeven sleaze , nah we let this thing rot away in a desk for decades its now generic PG13 trash.

Feels like they pulled some yuppie thriller script written for Michael Douglas in the 80s or early 90s out of a drawer. Except for one text message there’s no reference anywhere to any modern culture, media, technology, internet, etc and Ealy even has a classic 80s yuppie guy generic marketing director type job. Sadly it does not have the nudity those older films did though. The absence of at least three scenes featuring Meagan Good’s naked, heaving breasts is glaring.

Half RnB music video and half racial cuckold fantasy

Initially tense and unsettling, and Dennis Quaid does a great job as the unbalanced antagonist. But it would be difficult to invent a dumber horror victim than the constantly trusting wife. A few initial missteps could be forgiven, but by the end nothing's gotten better. No doors locked? No weapon ready? No cell phone in your pocket even? The plot and the background actors are equally laughable. P.S. the husband is definitely going to jail for manslaughter by the end of the film.

Decent thriller, elevated slightly by the great Dennis Quaid.

I started thinking about halfway thru about how the best horror movies of the 70's are about the new world creeping in and attempt to restore order a la Texas chainsaw/Halloween in America. This one comes at it with a pointed racial and sexual lense and smashes the old world down with a boom. It's pretty silly but it's quite close to a pop cinema masterwork.

Meh; a TV movie with a black cast. Not even home invasion as in we invade your home; more like a stalker film.

Kinda cheesy but entertaining.

That initial sex scene was so uncomfortable that when my dad glanced over at me, I winked at my mum.
