The Invader

Survival is a brutal and often harrowing ordeal. It's a dog eat dog world where no one can be trusted and everyone is intent on satisfying only their own selfish desires. Amadou - an illegal immigrant in search for a better life - learns this the hard way, as he navigates the harsh and unforgiving hellhole known to everyone, of course, as Brussels. While the characters may lack enough depth to keep one invested in the story, this is a charged and thematically resonant directorial debut.
