Cinematically uninteresting but still compelling, all-star reading of the Trump/Mueller report; obviously politically didactic, and while it claims to be Schenkkan's dramatisation, it never really moves away from a direct reading of the report itself. Performers are fine, if occasionally overawed by the occasion, however Lithgow (as a hilariously, pathetically unhinged Trump) and Kline as steady-as-she-goes Mueller are terrific; would love to see these two matched in the inevitable Trump biopic!
