This film had the lowest budget of the bunch but at least it was less comedic then the previous two. None of the characters were likable which made it hard to route for and makes the comedic fall even more flat then it would have otherwise.

5th and last film made by Universal Studios in the Invisible Man series. By now invisible was made variuos characters - crazy scientist, good scientist, cheeky woman, spy from propoganda era. And now there's is criminal who wants revenge. I feels this film is kind of graceful ending for the series of films, because its an OK film. By this i don't mean that it's worth watching, but by all means its a masterpiece compared to dreadful "Invisible Agent".

The film has no idea what it wants to be. Griffin is murderous, duplicitous, mad and intense, yet has time for a comedic diversion to help his barfly buddy he just met to go win a match of darts down at the pub. Following that, Griffin turns visible for a spell, lording his ill-begotten wealth over his rivals until it's time to be invisible again for the climax (which involves ALOT of broken glass, curiously not a problem for the barefoot invisible man!)

The most cold-hearted of Universal's Invisible men. No likable characters, and therefore the appeal comes from the dark side of the Invisible Man's hunger for blood. Could possible have done more with the plot, but understanding that this is mainly shaking the last bit of revenue off a franchise, The Invisible Man's Revenge (1944) wasn't too bad.
