Great cheesy concept, but it doesn't really exploit it in any really serious way, and it's never as entertaining as it ought to be. It's only in the final scene that the film gathers any real momentum; Karloff and Lugosi's scenes together are the highlight, and their last confrontation is certainly tense and thrilling. Shame the rest of the film isn't nearly as good.

A fun Lugosi-Karloff flick. It gets off to a slow start, but picks up as it progresses. The plotline doesn't seem particularly unique, but it's never a bad thing to see Lugosi and Karloff working together.

Always great seeing the two kings of horror in the same picture! This time it's Boris Karloff's turn to be the bad guy. A scientist who gets in touch with radium while in Africa and possesses.... THE KILLER HAND!!!! Anyone he touches dies instantly! Bela Lugosi is a rival scientist. The movie isn't all that climatic, but the effects and the melting rock along with so much of the nonsense Sci-Fi aspects makes it a little gem regardless.
