Director Eugene Forde's last feature film was a cheap noir-ish affair. I wouldn't say The Invisible Wall (1947) was anything remarkable, but you could say that about most of Forde's work, though he did make some good ones in the Charlie Chan and Michael Shayne detective series. As for this film, the story feels a bit forced to really feel the troubles of Don Castle. They do alright with the material given, but there was no excelling the quality of the writing.
