The Isle

Decently interesting and mysterious. You want to know more so you keep watching but it doesn't quite deliver.

Boring but you can see the whole thing. Towards the middle is almost unwatchable but gets a little better on the way to the resolution.

Another example of poor writing that couldn't be saved by good performances and production quality. Instead of building an engaging credible story the writers demonstrate their lack of imagination by resorting to supernatural nonsense to drive the plot. If you can get over this major flaw, perhaps you will enjoy this movie. It has a couple of nice very tense scenes, but the overall premise is shabbly.

This flick suffers from an atrocious cast and a shoestring budget. A good half the movie involves LARPy-costumed actors gazing uncomfortably at each other. I'm guessing the looks are supposed to be meaningful, but it comes off as more of a "I farted and I hope this other guy didn't smell it." Let's not even mention the startled Gilligan running around comically. A real bummer considering the script's repurposing of famous myths could have been very well done by a more capable director.

watchable

It starts decent, but looses its focus halfway. Barely managed to finish it.
