I don't want to have to do this again but you leave me no choice. Does Danny Aiello yell in it? Yes, and so it is recommended viewing.

The best way to approach this is as part of John Patrick Shanley's weird little oeuvre. If you liked Joe Vs. The Volcano (and I was one of the few who did), there is quirky pleasure to be had here.

Writer John Patrick Shanley is no slouch. This movie is sandwiched between Moonstruck and Joe Versus the Volcano, both of which are favorites. This, however, is a horrible screenplay. The tone is all over the place, there are completely useless characters (Keitel, Sarandon, and Steiger), and I have no clue why Klein's character is so sought after. He ends up doing some puzzles to catch a serial killer in the most cliched sequence. What a waste of a phenomenal cast.

What a piece of shit. This "murder-mystery" leaves you hanging, as the murderer isn't anybody important to the plot of the movie, just some random guy.

Poor excuse for a thriller.

What even is this film? An All-Star cast mixed with the least cohesive script/directing possible. It is an 1980s film, so a Blackface Killer shouldn't surprise anyone. Also, Kevin Kline solving the case is exactly like the "Anaconda Malt Liquor" scene in Black Dynamite. There is a very "pause and stare really hard at the screen" cameo from Canadian legend, Colin Mochrie.

This movie is a mess and feels overlong at 90 some minutes. Waste of a good cast. Some of the jokes were funny I guess.

I remember seeing this when it first came out. It was ok, but nothing special.

While the characters and plot were a bit shallow I found this to be an somewhat entertaining film to watch.

This movie tries to be a comedy and an action drama film but it fails. Most of the comedic attempts fail and they don't gel with the rest of the movie. This movie has a good ensemble cast but they are mostly wasted. Overall this film is disappointing.
