The Jungle Book 2

Completely pointless. A lazy rehash of the original movie that's best forgotten.

Shortest version of the plot summarized: Mowgli goes back to the jungle, hijinks ensue, Shere Khan shows up to try to kill him again, and he goes back to the man village. 65 minute runtime is 65 minutes too long. Law of the jungle temporarily suspended for some dance numbers.

A flat, lifeless insult to an animated classic.

Eh, the original was better, and I liked the original voices better, too, but this was ok

Basically just a remake of the first one (hanging with Balloo, sing Bare Necessities, fiery battle with Shere Khan, Mowgli goes to the village) while robbing the first film’s ending of its mystique by giving the girl a name, personality, bickering with Mowgli, fighting Shere Khan together, etc. That said… that said! As much fun as we made of these Disney sequels twenty years ago, are they THAT much less creative than the Disney live action remakes of the last half decade?
