There's some fun rubber creature effects which all of course sound like wailing monkeys. It's just everything in between these monster parts is boring stupid idiot garbage. One guy in this kinda looks like Mr Brady after a bender.

Endearingly schlockly little body-horror number, featuring some enjoyably gruesome low-budget practical effects. The story is a bit daft, but there's a likeable earnestness from the cast who have to wrestle with the nonsense. This one could do with a proper release - it got a bit murky towards the end, as I think the DVD I watched was from a VHS recording of a Laserdisc...

Remember this really freaking me out on USA's Saturday Night Nightmares as a kid. Does not hold up on re-watch.

Another in the infinitely long line of could-be classics from the 80's horror boom, this is a misguided sci-fi thriller with a wildly incoherent script written by five- yes, five- people. It shows. What makes it kind of work is the cast, who are genuinely trying when they probably shouldn't be, & some of the effects- one in particular- being better than expected. There is an odd campy charm to it, but saying it's anything good is a drastic overstatement. Watchable, but nothing more.
