The design is convincing but colourless, which is about the best I can say about the film. Henry is an incredibly boring character, transforming from worthless drunk (never convincing anyway) to perfect prince instantaneously, and the script's stilted "olde timey" language is often painfully cheesy. Disappointing and boring. (DNF)

At times stiflingly intense portrait of the Henry V of yore, though it probably helps to have a rudimentary knowledge and familiarity with Shakespeare's play; some awkwardly stiff dialogue exchanges make you wonder why Michod and Edgerton didn't just fully adapt Shakespeare and be done with it. Chalamet's brooding performance as the boy king is impressive, and colorful support work from Pattinson, McKenzie and Edgerton's surprisingly low-key Falstaff keeps things enjoyable.

A fairly compelling historical biopic that doesn't really bother with the details, but if I wanted accuracy, I'd have read a book. Chalamet and Edgerton were the standouts here, their relationship made this movie.

I'm not sure what to really give this as I love timmy & lily depp & pattinson. Felt super lost throughout.

This movie was very grey, in the literal sense and in the sense that it was bland and boring. On the plus side: my boy Joel Edgerton is very good in it and it has some nicely realistic medieval scuffles and fisticuffs.

Demythologises the idea of leadership as forged in battle, showing that behind it all lies vanity, power, deception and greed, yet still somehow reaffirms this myth, which one may take as admirable complexity or an inability of the filmmakers to make up their minds. All aspects generally well done, with the Agincourt scenes being memorably impressive versions of the type, although the quality of the dialogue fluctuates a little and Pattinson gives a hammy performance with an unconvincing accent.

Kudos for the pretty realistic battle sequences, but it feels like such a "small" movie (as opposed to an epic one) and still it doesn't feel personal or insightful.

Chalamet comes a cropper with a hopelessly stiff performance in this misguided epic. Wooden, hammy and boring with what may turn out to be the worst ensemble of the year. The speeches are excruciating and even the battle scenes are dull..

On the precarious influences which surround the seat of power, this film introduces no profound wisdom or original twist hitherto unheard of in the Shakespearean conventions. It is content to be classic, as I am content to have it. Tasteful, as simple as an engaging character arc and diligent performances.

This one flew by, great acting, good direction and good visuals combined with a good story really did not made it fly. It doesn't feel like 2,5 hours. Great dop work.

Somehow manages to feel less modern than the Shakespeare play it's based on. Well-designed, but lacking in both character and plot, it desperately needs both a third act and a more interesting hero. If the whole movie had been from Robert Pattinson's dauphin's POV, it might have been a masterpiece.

Another Netflix farce. Chalamet nor Pattinson can heal a problem this big.

Going emo on middle-ages. But, let's not be too picky with today's cinema. The acting was good. The script had some great dialogues. The last scene was poignant. And, the essential nature of how governance and authority are made was conveyed.

Pattinson and Chalamet are the least physically intimidating actors around, so having them play warrior kings is hilarious but despite that the film mostly works. Could have benefited from more dynamic and/or atmospheric cinematography.

Maybe a bit too serious, which makes it harder to distinguish from similar films. But once it enters the battle sequence, it's gripping, moreso for the battle planning rather than the battles themselves, though they do indulge in how terrible weather conditions can make for ungraceful fighting.

As much as I like Timothée Chalamet this might be the first movie with Robert Pattinson in it where I wish he'd been the lead. This movie mostly just dragged on.

I Loved the acting and ambiance. The battle of agincourt was wonderful and realistic. You can literally watch the movie just for that war scene. But that those not mean the rest of the film is bad. You'll feel the pressure on Henry V. I just don't know what to say. I loved it and it will be forever stay in my collection.

I love this movie, it's a go to of mine. not only is the plot fascinating and the characters stellar, one thing I love the most is that this movie does not glorify war. it shows war as the shitty, awkward, uncomfortable, horrible, stupid thing it is. I love that hal/tim chal is very against, but he soon becomes wrapped up in it, but the ending is sweet and just perfect

Starts out as an intriguing coming of age story based on actual history, but by the end it becomes a disaster. The main problem of the plot is that aside from the King himself, there are no interesting characters at all. I have only realized in one of the last scenes that I have been mixing up two characters during the entire run of the movie and they have even been important! I guess you could watch it if you are interested in a costume movie, but even then there are far better choices.

Despite being a slow movie, I really enjoyed a lot of this. I'm sure it's not very accurate to what really happened, but the story is okay and the acting is great. I really liked how different the fighting was compared to most medieval battles in film and it looked great.

It has some impressive scenes and good performances (Robbert Pattinson!), but for the most part the characterization is weak and the film ends up having little to say.

Chalamet'teki o 'sinemayı kurtarmak için bize gönderilen genç adam' ışığını hala göremiyorum. Belki casting'i diğer türlü yapılsaymış her anlamda daha iyi bir film olabilirmiş. Yine de netflix'ten beklenmeyecek şekilde, iyi zamanlarındaki Game of Thrones'un genel seyirci tarafından 'sıkıcı' bulunan diyalog bazlı güzel bölümlerini andırıyor. Brittell yine muhteşem.

A bit slow to start but picks up and by the last hour it totally had me. Henry V makes such a good story and this is an excellent retelling with its own new twists departing from the tired Shakespeare version. Excellent, just wish it paced a little faster to start.

Henry V's transformation from worthless drunk to valiant prince is never convincing, which isn't a good basis to start with. Chalamet is great in this despite being handed a lacklustre script and scenes whose dialogue you can work out for yourself. Just boring.
