It's so perfect that Billy Mitchell (aka the Devil) owns a hot sauce business. What a creep. This documentary was quite an interesting story, even for someone who has never been into arcade games. At times, I didn't want to watch, but couldn't look away.

Knocked me out with a three hit combo: underdog story, documentary with ridiculous characters (you can't write people like these) and, well, video games. My non-video-gamey girlfriend liked it too

Good enough documentary to make something pretty boring into something worth watching. That being said, I have no idea how truthful they portrayed the “bad guys.”

A great documentary/character study of two polar opposites, a pair of Donkey Kong champions competing against each other for title of world's highest score. Best of its type since American Movie.

Billy Mitchell is a wanker. But my god he has great hair.

Absolute truth in question, we can only engage this along lines of the narrative it presents, which is essentially an underdog triumph and the comeuppance of a bully. The portrayal of Wiebe is touching; socially uneasy but a genuinely good guy, he wrestles with balancing his family life and obsessive behavior. The Redmond sections of the film are the most powerful pieces here. Mitchell is a different story, but there's a slant here, and picking on nerds, even bully nerds, feels strange to me.

Really interesting but a little one-sided and from what I understand, slightly fictional. Excellent film about a niche group of individuals.

I came across this film thanks to a mention by Aleks Krotoski in her weekly column in The Guardian. How grateful I am that I came across such a gem. This story of competitive gaming is a true insight into modern Americana and the sub-culture's that can provide modern day men with a reason to persevere. What starts out as a simple tale of two men's passion soon becomes a delectably woven tapestry of human spirit, hope, love and above all desire. I urge everyone to watch this epic story.

A good film moreabout the human condition that it was about video games. The whole "being just not good enough" angle they played with Wiebe was GREAT. and showing the champ as an arrogant jerk worked. For whatever reason, this movie sucked me in and I didn't want to leave at the end. one of the better movies I have seen in a while...but I am a nerd.

A little dry at points, but I was highly entertained. So much emotion for the game is captured that at some points it's almost unsettling.

One of the most fantastic stories, and cast of characters ever put to screen.

I love this movie, period. I found this film so well done in so many ways. The use of on-screen visuals was perfect, the music choices, the way things were portrayed and more. All perfectly done. It's so well done that it manages to suck you in EVERYTIME. Definitely worth the hunt.

This movie really had me rooting for the underdog (Steve) and wishing that petty loser Billy gets his in the end. Excellent documentary.

When I watched this for school, half the class thought that these two had no lives, the other half, which I was a part, totally related to Steve Wiebe. There are some things in life that you're very dedicated to and you don't care if other people think you're a loser for it. There are also some people who don't care who want to take your accomplishments away from you like Billy Mitchell and Twin Galaxies. Is it too much to ask to be the best at one thing?

The contrast makes for brilliant viewing. At one point Wiebe breaks the record, only to have Mitchell send people into his house to dismantle his machine, accusing him of cheating. Wiebe breaks it again, this time in an arcade in front of dozens of people, Mitchell sends in a tape minutes later of a higher score.

This is a fun documentary that really has you rooting for Steve Wiebe.

Documentaries are king at forming characters through editing and King Of Kong nails it. First you have Billy Mitchell presented as an arsehole, sore loser and possible cheat. Brian Kuh as his trusty side kick who probably sniffs Billy's dirty underwear at all chances. Steve Wiebe is clean cut good guy. Best line from the film is when Brian Kuh said he retired at 30, probably got enough quarters from blowing dudes in funspot's bathroom to play Donkey Kong for the rest of his life.

A geeky awesome documentary. Its only flaw is not having a killer showdown of an ending, but otherwise, it's perfect.

Incredible Rocky-esque story, with interesting insight into a culture that most would otherwise never encounter. I love to hate Billy Mitchell.

One of the most unapologetically goofy documentaries out there, and it's a joy to watch from start to finish. And with Mitchell's many scandals since, he has only reaffirmed the character study this movie confidently laid out more than a decade ago.
