Kyung-min, a businessman, and Jong-suk, a failed writer, are former schoolmates. During a reunion dinner they look back on their school days, when a particularly cruel group of students, "the dogs", exercised a reign of terror by hazing and bullying part of the other students, the "pigs". One day, Kim Chul, one of their mates, stood up to the "dogs", becoming the only hope of ending their tyranny. Fifteen years on, he remains a hero. (quinzaine-realisateurs.com)

Harrowing tale of bullying and abuse. The raw, hurried, minimalist style of the animation; blurted out like a messy drunken, confession within -to my mind- suited it perfectly.

The story is brutal and I would honestly say brilliant. I was at times completely captivated. Unfortunately, the animation is generally very poor. There's really no other way of putting it. The facial expressions are always extremely unnatural, and any large scale movement looks off. It's a shame that that aspect has to bring down an otherwise excellent film.

The rough animation wasn't my taste but added a good unsettling tone to the already bleak movie. Depressingly explores the South Korean social oower dynamics and the human nature. Tried to handle many topics which become more than it can chew and also feels sluggish after a while. Definitely one of the most depressing watches.
