Since his father untimely death, Scott's spends his days smoking weed and dreaming of being a tattoo artist. However, as his family life develops and grows, he is forced to grapple with his grief and find some meaning in his own life. A semi-autobiographical comedy-drama about Pete Davidson growing up in Staten Island.

Always like seeing Burr, even if he deserved better material. Davidson is competent at playing this junkie loser. I didn't laugh nearly as much as I thought I was going to, but the drama worked. It was a pretty organically told story about a guy who was nothing... it didn't shoot him to superstar status by end, but it ends with him starting to redeem himself. Good movie but I certainly expected the jokes to hit more: it was too low-key sometimes.

This feels like Apatow's maturity, it might just be Davidson though. It is a drama with good dark comedy in it and I really enjoyed it. It hit me in decent places, the character development didn't feel forced and the acting was good.

There’s a 90 minute version of this movie that’s probably pretty great. But this is the 137 minute version, and it’s only decent.

A weird film that borrows the dark sentimentality of Pete's life but dismisses all of his successes and talents. Works great while it is a comedy and completely nosedives when it transitions into an over-sentimental tribute. I like Pete so this was still enjoyable, despite feeling like a squandered opportunity.

This film has a good script, it keeps you interested the entire way. The actors do a good job with their roles in this movie. Overall I would recommend this film.

Davidson is too obnoxious to like, and Apatow's scattershot drama is way to unfocused. But I enjoyed spending time with Burr and Buscemi (in a small role).

While the path from SNL to movie star is a well traveled one, Davidson is forging his own way by cutting his teeth on substantial drama, rather than straight trashy comedy. In doing so, he's earning a hell of a lot of well deserved respect, and that's discounting how immensely powerful this semi-autobiographical tale is. It has my vote for best movie of the year.

Watched this solely for Bill Burr, I do not understand the appeal of Pete Davidson or this movie in general. Also as a non-American surprised to find out that as much as everyone shits on Staten Island it appears to have by far the best views of the NYC skyline.

Nice little movie. Obviously if you buy into the whole apatow thing you can vibe with it but most find the shtick annoying. Not me tho. One Headlight is a banger!!

This movie is extremely watchable. Though it's rarely laugh out loud funny, the characters are believable and interesting to watch. Nice job Pete Davidson and Judd Apatow.

Enjoyed it a lot, some good characters and I like Buscemi. It flips back and forth from trying to be very real to a being pretty ridiculous, but I didn't mind.

I feel like I'd seen this movie before. Juvenile underdog hero who isn't well-adjusted. Marisa Tomei playing an attractive but overwhelmed mother figure. Smart mature younger sister. Sassy Staten Island girl. I guess the fire station angle is new. The acting is solid and the jokes are fine. Great minor characters. I'm glad Davidson's character didn't do anything dramatic just for the cringe factor. Fav scene: first encounter with tattooing the kid and then Burr blowing up at Davidson's home.
