The boxing match is the highlight with Chaplin as the referee, while the rest is a strange mixture of fistfights and gunfights involving Fatty Arbuckle's character, Pug.

The opening character bits are fun, and the chaotic second half offers plenty of surprising variety. All in all, it's a nice large scale Keystone farce with lots of action, that shows what they could pull off when they put some real planning and editing into things.

Chaplin makes this one worth checking out.

Very interesting to see first attempts of a moving camera. The story itself is forgettable while the fistfight with Chaplin as referee is funny.

Very disappointing. I had high hopes for my first Fatty film.
