This was not a good movie. The acting was alright but the story was troublesome to say the least. The romance comedy parts and the fight against the power company side plot don't mesh well and none of the comedy or dirty tricks in the film worked for me so this had little to recommend.

The Lady Fights Back (1937) is one of the few films movie editor Milton Carruth actually directed. He only got that opportunity for about a year during 1936-37, and I don't think anyone was very impressed with his work as a director, as his films are very hard to find and leave a VERY average impression. I really struggled why I should have cared about this story. Some decent supporting actors help with the enjoyment, but the film as a whole was bland, to say the least.
