The Lady Refuses

This movie was all over the place in it's acting and plot wise. From the embarrassing, to the stagy, and also quite good and engaging. Got to love the overly English language displayed here both upper class and trampy. Gilbert Emery as the grand old gentleman was what gave this a dignified touch, while Betty Compson had her moments as the lady down on her luck. Not sure what to say about John Darrow who played the old mans son. Hard to pin point if he was doing okay or was terrible. Maybe both.
