Compelling story and great acting! The storyline moves slowly sometimes, and the ending feels 'sudden', but still worth a 68/100.

Lacks the details to be a documentary, and the drama to be a dramatisation.

I'm really sad because they could've done something good with that story, but they didn't know how to tell it. The editing is just floppy.

I admire Aung San Suu Kyi's way of life, but honestly there is not enough attractions in her life to make the movie. the result was a bit neutral IMHO.

Loved this movie -- inspiring, well-acted, and based on a true story that is still unfolding. Entertainment: 4/4. Spirituality: 2/3. Sustainability: 2/3.

very emotional, but not very good.

Some good moments, mostly really cheesy and annoyingly sentimental.

Starts off alright enough with a few dull streaks and a few good moments and gets really good and besson-cheesy towards the end. Thewlis was gerat throughout the whole thing, Yeoh had to wait for the last half hour to get her opportunities to shine. And shine she did. :)
