I like Braff, and still I found his character here wholly unsympathetic. This is the film's main flaw because when a coming of age story has me thinking "grow the fuck up you ass," it probably isn't going to be very effective.

After the initial "Oh no, it's a romantic comedy!" it turned to be a decent enough Romantic Comedy.

Original is better, Zach Braff just has a face I want to punch so hard. Loved Rachel Bilson though.

During a viewing of this film, you may find yourself seeing your friends, your family or even yourself in these wonderfully drawn characters. It is heartfelt, honest and ultimately a wonderful date night choice.

Garden State, 5 years later. Jacinda Barrett was a nice surprise (and Eric Christian Olsen was good as always) though. The movie has it's moments, but overall is very average.

I haven't seen the original one, yet. But in general I like comming-of-age movies, probably because I'm in that situation. Still this movie plays too much with standard hollywood cliché's and actually trying to tell a story. Not really well balanced.

Very light on comedy - avoid it if you're looking for a comedy. Not bad as a drama.

There's too much explaining in the dialogue rather than the movie just actually happening. Zach Braff plays the same character as he always does (no complaining in the way he does it though) and so do the reast of the cast. Maybe that's the problem, the same movie has been seen too many times before?

A pleasant surprise for how quiet it was kept. It has true feeling behind it and a superb cast. Very well written and acted.

The first half is a good blend of light hearted whimsy and real life issues of the non committal. Then it gets tense. Real tense, drawn out and melodramatic. It ends up feeling like two movies. Casey Affleck was a highlight though.

Yucky. Bilson is hot as hell though. I've mentioned this before but how is Braff's face so round? You could reliably determine pi on that thing!

Suffers a bit from being way too heavy-handed and melodramatic, but then that's Paul Haggis in a nutshell, isn't it? Luckily the characters are all fairly well drawn, and Goldwyn milks a few outstanding performances out of the cast - Jacinda Barrett especially. Even Bilson's character feels real, which is an accomplishment. Casey Affleck was also quite good. Braff is up to his usual tricks, but it's a likeable role that he plays well. The movie has its flaws, but for some reason it speaks to me.

I've never been married but I can relate. I've fallen down drunk on plenty of girlfriends porches vying for love, often for several nights at a time.

"If Gabriele Muccino's The Last Kiss is any indication, the Paul Thomas Anderson Fan Club has collected enough fees from its members to buy itself a film camera and make their own movies." - Ed Gonzalez

This movie has some good moments but I did not like the ending. The whole camping out on the porch scene did not work for me.

Zach Braff plays a average guy about to have a baby and get married to Jenna. The other girl, Rachel Bilson is incredibly sexy and gorgeous, and is also inexplicably into him, which destroys his relationship. What guy doesn't want to hear "You were amazing, last night was perfect"? The other characters and plot directions do little to improve the story. In the end he follows his heart back to Jenna, but has to find a way to prove his devotion to her after cheating.

Typical chick movie. Stupid people do stupid stuff, and when it's just about to get interesting in terms of insight into human fallibility, they apologize and everything is fairy dust again. How heartwarming. If you have one, that is.

Underrated, serious, coming-of-age film for 30 year-olds. The Last Kiss refrains from frequent cheekiness and relies on marvelous subtleties from its leads, along with natural, sometimes intense scriptwork. No character feels canned. The music is excellent. I'm not sure why it's considered mediocre, but I suppose it's a film that -- exploring relationship questions and the psychology of loneliness -- just appeals to my taste.
