Writer/director/lead Leonard does a lot to drag down this story about adult responsibility and midlife crisis; some scenes and the strenght from the support salvages this somewhat, but not enough to really overcome that lousy Leonard-factor. *Preview*: #12#, exp-3*, story, Kelli.G/7-4, Jess.W/7-3, R2.

the biggest problem for me in the film was in the writing - the dialogue was very realistic and well-written, but the film lacked a strong antagonistic force, or any real sense of conflict. if there's no tension, there's no climax and if there's no climax, there's no reason to care.

The premise is amusing and some of the situations that arise are funny in a cringeworthy way. However, the film also relies on a really tired and dysfunctional trope about adults not being able to cope with their responsibilities and fixating on their purpose in life to the point of being detrimental to others.
