The main intrigue of this light musical nonsense is to experience some of the 1930s forgotten acts that where very popular at the time but now barely known at all. I'm mainly talking about Joe Penner, the Jerry Lewis of the day, and Parkyakarkus (Harry Parke) a master of confusing the English language! More a novelty then a great movie with lots of comedians having their little moments. Many good cooks, but The Life of the Party (1937) becomes more just tasters then a full meal.
