Adulterer Rex Harrison is accused of murder and with Lilli Palmer as loyal and calm wife by his side, he fights a tough and unconvincing battle for freedom. Looking past the weak ending, I felt it was a solid drama of a man that's been disgraced. Palmer there certainly helps. The story teases hope along the way, only to deliver them as dead ends, which was a okay device in this plot. If only they hadn't rushed the ending and actually added some excitement to it, it wouldn't have felt this flat.
