There's a good deal of mockery behind what they're doing but it's all done from a place of love so it never feels disrespectful or what you kids would call punching down (current least favorite phrase in the English language). These people grew up on idiot scientists, rubber monsters and human bones that walk and talk. If you're not a fan, Rob Zombie is doing tributes to his childhood movies too. Slightly different tone.

The music is a nice tropey undercurrent of unsteadiness. The movie itself is nothing special but pays homage to a lot of camp Sci Fi films. Overall an easy and enjoyable watch. Fav scene: when the 3 couples are gathered for dinner and the humans look in amazement first at the aliens' strange behavior, then at Jennifer Blaire's Animala copying the aliens thinking they're normal.

Every bit as worthy a consideration to a fan of atomic-age schlock as Young Frankenstein is to a fan of classic horror. It's not just "bad on purpose", it's a committed, meticulous effort loaded with solid gags. Brian Howe is a revelation.

Absolutely hilarious! The first few minutes caught me by surprise, and I began to laugh with a mouthful of soda and spit it into my popcorn; an amateur move, I know. As someone who has watched many, many B-movies, I really appreciated this film about a scientist who may be doing too much science, and the scientist's wife (that is, the wife of the scientist; which is apparently a hard vocation, yet good) as they investigate a meteor that could mean a lot to science.
