Every once in a while I think that Mike Myers was a fad that had no grounds to begin with. Then I see Wayne's World and I realize, no, he was funny. Then I watch So I Married an Axe Murderer and I know that he was genuinely funny. Then I catch an airing of Austin Powers and I'm amazed at how damn funny Mike Myers really was. And then there's this immense cliff and a deafening silence.

It's so awful. So so awful. I don't know what to say other than I think Mike Myers has just lost touch with what's funny. Apparently this has been in creation since 2001. SEVEN YEARS. This is beyond bad. This boggles the mind on how people actually involved in the creative process thought this was funny. We're talking ____ Movie quality. I laughed two times in the entire movie. It's just crass jokes that apparently Myers thinks are funny because they're dirty. Horrible film.

Myers killed his career with this shambolically plotted, virtually laugh free comedy about an American guru that is simply another iteration of Austin Powers, replete with endless dick jokes and cheap scatalogical humour. It's a shamelessly self indulgent film, even by Myers' standards, that is clearly the result of a man who gets high on the smell of his own farts. It's bad--comic auteurism run amok is a dangerous thing--but its insularity makes it oddly watchable in a car crash kind of way.

Eh, it's not the worst but the faults are numerous: racism? or at least cultural appropriation, stupid plot, dumb padding flashbacks, and terrible hockey (really? The LEAFS?). Pros are Meyers flutters around hilariously, Jessica Alba is mesmerizing, and Justin Timberlake is great when sparingly used. Those Colbert/Gaffigan segments are fun too. Fav scene: Verne Troyer's tiny office

I heard it was bad, but it was worse. A lot of crude stuff amuses me otherwise in movies, and I liked Austin Power in the past, but even with that as a background, it was not enough. Too dumb, too all over the place. I give it some points for rare fun bits because I felt generous

After the disappointing final installment of the Austin Powers franchise, Mike Myers takes a break from his ogreish ways and returns to writing and staring as his own brand of wacky caricatures. However, this time is most likely the last for Myers after this terribly unfunny comedic box-office bomb. Similar in some ways to George Lucas and "The Phantom Menace, Mike Myers's newest ideas paint the third chapter in his previous series in a much better light.

It *starts* with a mechanical, hacky version of a horribly cliche plot, then hangs the worst jokes you can think of on it, every variation on punching down and making fun of Weird(tm) people you can think of, delivered in the most late-00s "If we make a joke about how bad the joke we're making is, it makes it funny again!" way. And the obsession with dicks!! It's not surprising everyone got fed up with Myers at once. That said, it has surprisingly good cinematography - almost Wes Anderson-esque?

Yes, it's a blatant regurgitation of every other live action Mike Meyers film to come out (mostly Austin Powers). Yes, you've seen it all before, but we all loved Austin Powers, and in essence this is just a watered down version of that. I can't honestly hate a slightly worse version of Austin Powers.

Hardly the disaster it's been made out to be. I mean, yeah, it's a bad movie, and yeah, the jokes that miss are mostly shameful. The film is generally bizarre and will leave you wondering how such a concept could get greenlit many times over. But not ALL the jokes miss. Sure it feels like a retread of Austin Powers, but there are some fresh gags that really do work. Anyone who says they didn't laugh at all during this movie is a goddamn liar. But the Leafs winning the Cup? Pure science fiction.

An exquisite masterpiece of unfunniness. Whatever magic Mike Myers used to have - and make no mistake, he did, the first Wayne's World and Austin Powers remain two of my top twenty comedies of all time - it's just not here. At all. At ALL. Let me put it this way: This is an 81-minute (before end credits) film that I had to take a half-hour break in the middle of to muster up the energy to finish.

The Love Guru is a harmless distraction of a film that makes so little sense that it's almost worth watching for the train wreck that it is. It's funny, admittedly, but probably only that way if you like low-brow humor or if you're a hockey fan. I'm not exactly sure who the film is for, but I know that, for the most part, I did laugh, and I had a good time. That's not necessarily a recommendation, as it's not really well made and there's nothing special about it, but it's an okay distraction.

I needed to rewrite this review, because after subsequent watchings of Myers' worst film, I just genuinely came out enjoying it. It's horrible. It's not funny in any way it's supposed to be, but in every other way it's hilarious. Defending this film is impossible, but loving it for being the worst movies of all time is not.

Many are the puerile fools (Sandler, Rob Schneider, Wayanses...) who have tried to make films such as these... but Mike Myers remains the most puerile and most foolish of them all. His jokes amuse me greatly and I laughed lots, even if I could plainly see that much of the film was drivel.

This is basically Austin Powers as an Indian philosopher. The only problem with the concept is that Myers had already run out of good ideas by the time the last Austin Powers movie came out. This is just a sad reminder of that fact.

I'm sorry to say that it's bad because I adore Mike Myers and his sense of humor. But this movie contains dirty jokes, jackass stunts-like jokes, explicit sexual references to everything possible while being offensive. There are so many celebrities, Colbert to Kanye West, as cameo appearances - one wonders how could they ever accept? Myers isn't funny and his accent is more like, after three movies and various video games, Shrek.

Standard Mike Meyers formula. It was surprisingly funny considering it has a bad rap. The funny scenes were hilarious but there were entire sections of the movie that weren't humorous at all. The Indian music and culture was a good addition that I wasn't expecting. Plus it makes fun of Depok Chopra the entire movie, so how can it go wrong? Not a classic but worth the watch

There seems to be a lot of Mike Myers hate out there. But I though this differ a lot from the Austin Powers movies. The jokes are the same as always, but that's OK, as it's been some many years since the last time he has made a this sort of movie. So nothing new, just old and familiar Mike Myers humor and that is enough for me.
