Terrible acting, awful script, stupid editing, bad continuity. Not much of their own. Extra points for the leading lady.

The plot, dialog and acting is all so bad, overdone and ridiculously dramatic that it almost hurts to watch it at times. But it doesn't matter, as it's got loads of the most fully awesome actions scenes I've ever seen. You learn not to be bothered by the plot within the first 5 minutes. Some of the special effects are pleasing, others are ridiculously bad, but it really doesn't matter. WASH YOUR HAIR IN YOUR SONS BLOOD!

Not even funny. It's obvious the people behind this basically made every scene with the exact same thought: "Look at this movie, it's really cheap and badly done, don't you like it?" Don't know why people put this crap on the same level of other so-bad-they're-good classics.

what this one lacks in the most rudimentary skills of storytelling is made up for in seven foot long rubber arms with buckets of red, watery blood spraying out them like a firehose.

Hot chicks, ninjas, awful acting, machine guns, yakuza, drill bra, buckets of blood. The ultimate cheese gorefest and the new king of arterial spray.

The fun campy moments are so scarce that we had to fast forward between them since the rest of the movie is literally unwatchable

Absolutely horrendous. The opening action scene shows you all the "so-bad-it's-entertainingly-hilarious" moments you need to see which every single scene of ultra violence afterwards is some variation of. The plot is stupid, the acting is so campy it's retarded and in the end I was just so annoyed that the stupid parts heavily outweighed the good ones. I think the only way you'll really enjoy this is if you're an anime fanboy and can't realize just how bad it really is.

i think you have to give the director credit for his courage to make the movie so bad. because i think it would be less entertaining if the effects, story, acting and action scenes would are better... and i wonder how he persuaded the producer to spend half (or even more) of the budget for the artificial blood... you have to admit, that at least this requires some skills...

If you're watching this, you know what type of film to expect. Yes the acting is no good, the story is weak, the effects are laughable, but the whole movie experience makes up for all of that. The first five minutes was great, the rest of the film drops off after that, but it was still entertaining. How can you go wrong with the bloodsplattering of Kill Bill with the gun toting badass female of Planet Terror?

I feel ridiculous having to apologize for this score, but clarifications are in order: I love extreme cinema, and I don't mind some humorous trash and tasteful tastelessness once in a while. But The Machine Girl is the wrong kind of sadistic and vile, the wrong kind of ridiculously cheesy. It's just lousy actors spouting lousy text as they lazily hack each other up with lousy gore effects. If this kind of thing thrills or amuses you, you need to get out more.

A scathing criticism of the tacit approval that the power brokers in Japan have for Yakuza activity and the destructive nature such practices have on the working class. Then a lady cuts a dude with a chainsaw on her leg. I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about.

Direct-to-video garbage. The costumes must have been provided by the local high school drama club and it's a miracle this got funding without assistance from Kickstarter. The narrative quality is on par with the worst Power Ranger episodes and it only gets more and more terrible as it goes along. If you want modern Japanese shlock, TOKYO GORE POLICE and HELLDRIVER, while undeniably stupid films in their own right, are much more entertaining.

I can't believe I am going to write this, but I liked the photography in this film, and I thought some of the action sequences were pretty good. Even the silly Power Range-esque baddies in jumpsuits was fine by me. To be fair, I watched this after 45 hours of being awake... but I was entertained. And I honestly did like the photography! It's framed quite nicely :\.

Cool action scenes with tons of gore. Would have been a lot better if the movie wouldn't have focused too much in it's crappy plot.

Ridiculous and over-the top in every single aspect. A mix of insanely enjoyable while also being overwhelming, and painfully bad. This movie is like an ice cream sundae induced brain freeze.

Really a terrible film but I love to see a film focus primarily on the gore, the intense scenes of sickening violence that I so longingly wish to create.

"The Machine Girl" was really the film that popularized the modern J-spolitation genre but after watching "Tokyo Gore Police" or "Robogeisha" it just doesn't have the same entertainment factor as it used to and cannot compare. Still entertaining as hell though.

Over the top ridiculous! My score might be slightly skewed (towards the positive) by watching the horribly inept american dub, but this was a tremendously fun riot from start to end for me.

I sought this out mostly because the FX wizard behind it is the guy who later directed Tokyo Gore Police. While TGP is absolutely batshit for the entirety of it's runtime, Machine Girl is mostly a straightforward comic bookish story which happens to have fantastic gore FX. The action is lots of fun, but most everything else feels like filler. Thankfully, once it gets going, it stays going.

Clearly a so bad its good movie. The gore is cheesy, fake, ridiculous, plentiful, hilarious, gross, satisfying, and probably some other adjectives. Honestly, just youtube up the first 5 minutes, that's about the best review that can be provided for this movie.

After the horrifically bad Tokyo Gore Police, the worst thing I could watch with a head cold would be anything by members of the Fundoshi Corps (Yukihiko Yamaguchi, Gore Police's director Yoshihiro Nishimura and Noboru Iguchi himself). Thankfully it is not that painfully bad, but frankly this is just a cheaply made, uninteresting gore film without any real inventiveness and skill a director like Takashi Miike has.

What a fun time..if you seen Toyko Gore Police, Meatball Machine and Samurai Princess..this to me is the best of the series. Its so goofy and over the top that no matter what you are at least going to pay attention just to see what is next...

The acting is weak, the story's virtually non-existent and the action is extremely dull. As a campy gore-fest, it should at least have a degree of humour or self-awareness, yet this fails in every department to be entertaining or memorable.
