Child star Jane Withers getting older, now 16, but probable thought of as a little older for this comedy as they're now giving her proper suitors and a more mature look. She looks like no other young lady on the lot and is perfect for comedy, still got the timing through those awkward teen years. The material for The Mad Martindales (1942) was a little loose to generate big laughs, but the atmosphere is always amusing and Withers is on form.
