In this absurdist comedy, Rejtman, a master of dead-pan humor, once again gives life to endearingly obsessive characters, offers a unique and un-romanticized view of Buenos Aires, and builds a poetic coherence from apparently banal situations. (Cinema Tropical)

Maybe it's because I knew more what to expect this time around, but I liked this a lot more than Silvia Prieto. The characters still deadpan every absurd bit of dialogue, but everything else, the story, the visuals and the sound, is more lively this time around. Enjoyed it.

I found this a delightfully quirky film, with a variety of different characters and situations. It was interesting how one thing impacted on another. I liked that its quite understated and it is amusing, if perhaps only lightly. Its a nice and relaxed sort of a film - a good example of world cinema that I would recommend to others.

"The film's amusing running gags notwithstanding, Rejtman makes the mistake of adopting the depressed, disinterested feelings of his characters, confusing apathy for poetry." - Ed Gonzalez

Deadpan quirky done right (in part by emphasizing the former rather than the latter). To me this feels like Rejtman's most fully-realized effort, while at the same time never feeling more like a friendlier, talkier Argentinian Kaurismaki.

A bunch of people who go out of their way to show they are looking for peer pressure. Nobody seems sure of what they want to do with their lives, so they readily give the reins of their lives to anyone who just shows even just some little interest in them.
