An interesting little peek at a what an absurd sci-fi B-movie would look like if it was made with some care, a little talent, a straight face, and a couple stand up actors. The best part here is pretending that Sam Elliott is playing the same character here as he was in "The Big Lebowski".

This is not the fun, ridiculous romp that you'd expect from such an outrageous premise/title. Instead, it is mostly an old man reflecting on his life, specifically about the love of his life. But there's also the killing of Hitler and Bigfoot, neither of which is very compelling, with the latter just being silly... flying in the face of what the rest of the movie is offering. I can't say that I enjoyed this, I can say I admire it to some degree.

The worst part of this movie is the title. Sam Elliot is a charismatic actor. The story was surprisingly not as ridiculous as the title would imply. But, the pacing is too slow at times, and there are many unremarkable reflections on his past. Also, the plot is sliced up almost haphazardly. The production quality and music were good. Extra points for the fantastic aspects and for having a lot of heart. Worth watching.

This movie is great ! Sam Elliott looks like a man who swallowed a lemon. It's hard to think of another actor who could pull this movie off despite the wild movie title. This movie is about mythic american hero and what happens to the man, the individual who is swallowed by that myth and is left with second-guesses and regret. And man in a costume is definitely the way to go forward with the Bigfoot design.

I don't know what I was expecting with that title. This ended up being more a of a well acted character study. Maybe the past sequences need to feel dreamier. I liked the dynamic with the brother but then it was confusing when the main character is walking around attending plays after he's supposedly dead. Bigfoot was OP. Fav scene: taking stock on top of the hill after the first time when he thinks he's killed Bigfoot.

Appearing to be a sci-fi pulp actioner, it becomes a meditation on love and loss. Highly original with a standout performance from Sam Elliott.

Hmm, were they actually being serious? If not, then this should have been a lot funnier. If yes, then... well no, they can't have been.

It was actually interesting, though the title can be misleading even if true. Interesting series of reflections on a person's life and link to the world. I like how cheeky it is to make the story not even be about the most outlandish parts of the tale, they are just secondary.

Despite it's outrageous title, this is primarily a low-key movie about lost love and old age. Sure some weird shit happens, but don't expect a laugh riot.

I'm not sure why but I really loved this movie and loved Sam Elliott in it even more.

Points for an oddly nuanced Sam Elliot, brisk pacing, odd concept and perfectly honest marketing.

Pretty brave choice for a feature debut. I predict some interesting stuff from this cat in the future.

Sam Elliott'un başrolünde ilginç 1 film. 1 karakter, 2 ayrı öyküyü, filmin ismindeki gibi anlatılmış. Akıcı bir kurgu olmasına karşın sürpriz yok. Sıradan ilerleyen senaryosu, oyuncuların gücüne bırakılmış. Yine de izlenir. Koca Ayak diye bir şey yok. Bırakın bu ayakları.

Brilliant film. Sam Elliott is brilliant. In a word: brilliant. More reviews here: http://movie-freak.be

Strong debut from Krzykowski. It takes a silly concept (or two) and turns it to a rather serious film with solid work in acting, soundtrack and cinematography. The standout is Sam Elliot who plays his part without any self-ironic wink. This could have been even better without the Bigfoot part as it didn't provide anything extra and that's where the limits of the budget became clear. The film wisely keeps things vague and provides enough symbolism to allow multiple readings of it's meaning.
