Claudette Colbert in a romance with boring old Clive Brook who allegedly dies in the war only to reappear as a very ill man from his wounds of battle. I felt the movie was difficult to grasp. There is just too many unfinished moments and it turns into a fairly grim one as well without the director capturing the deeper aspects of what goes on emotionally. And on top of that I felt the supporting actors Boyer and Andy Devine made a much better impression in their parts then the leads did in their.
