An American reporter in Japan is sent to interview an eccentric Japanese scientist working on bizarre experiments in his mountain laboratory. When the doctor realizes that the hapless correspondent is the perfect subject for his next experiment, he drugs the unfortunate man and injects him with a serum that gradually transforms him into a hideous, two-headed monster. A movie that will bring about deep philosophical questions like, "Who is Terri Zimmern," "Why haven't I heard of her before" and "Why haven't we seen anything of her since Manster?" There's not much more for me to love than bizarre 50's Japanese slightly sleazy horror films like this one. A satisfying surprise.

American movie made in Japan with a mostly Japanese cast dubbed into English, that should kind of let you know what to expect. The film boasts shitty effects, bad acting, annoying sound effects, a stupid plot and takes too long to get going. It still manages to be somewhat entertaining which was a surprising plus.

Way way better than many movies like it. A foot chase that takes up much of the second half is really the only thing dragging it down. Good tone and atmosphere, director and cast actually trying, fun creepy effects.

So it turned out to be a two-headed movie. The chase sequence dragged on for days. The title character was indeed quite ridiculous-looking.
