With Li's character not speaking any English the movie relies heavily on the fish out of the water jokes. While a few do work, comedy clearly isn't Jet Li's strong suit. The fight sequences overall are perfectly adequate; good and enjoyable but not outstanding. Only the final fight between Jet Li and Jerry Trimble is one for the books. It all comes down that I can recommend this to fans of the genre, but it isn't essential viewing.
